Zakat Distribution Division Functions

To facilitate the appointment of members of the Baitulmal Committee (JKB) and to plan and conduct meetings to ensure that zakat distribution is channelled to eligible asnaf.
To implement the zakat fund restitution programme (wakalah) in a complete and orderly manner as stipulated by the department, in order to establish a comprehensive wakalah implementation framework for zakat payers in the state of Perak.
To implement quality management for zakat distribution services in order to maximise the impact of zakat distribution administration, so as to achieve, maintain and improve the standard and quality levels required by the department.
To coordinate data and feedback regarding zakat distribution in response to queries or comments from the National Audit Department, the State Legislative Assembly, the Public Complaints Bureau, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the public, and other relevant agencies, so that information delivery is organised and meets the established standards.
To provide advisory and consultation services in customer service, aimed at improving the standard of living of the asnaf across all aspects of life, encompassing the spiritual, intellectual and physical domains.
To carry out all divisional administrative affairs in an orderly and systematic manner as stipulated by the department.
To review all financial matters, including the preparation of records and registers for the Distribution Imprest Account, the Register of Item Descriptions kept in the safe, and the Register of Treasury Instruction Bill No. 103(b), to ensure they are executed in accordance with applicable regulations and circulars.

To provide input in policy development for Asnaf Empowerment so that zakat distribution is carried out in accordance with Islamic law (Hukum Syarak).
To manage the preparation of the annual budget and to coordinate the expenditure of the Asnaf Empowerment Unit optimally based on the approved budget.
To plan and implement various forms of assistance schemes for Asnaf Empowerment in order to maximise the impact of zakat distribution to uplift the ummah from the shackles of poverty and backwardness in the state of Perak.
To coordinate the planning, development and implementation of the Asnaf Empowerment Assistance Schemes (Academic and Skills Education) and Human Capital in a complete and orderly manner as stipulated by the department, in order to establish a comprehensive zakat distribution framework for asnaf in the state of Perak. - Moral Purification Programmes
- Debt Settlement for Islamic Institutions for the Maslahah (Public Interest) of the Ummah
- Orphanage Maintenance
- Contributions to Islamic Individuals/Organisations
To coordinate the provision of various activities and programmes for asnaf education empowerment in order to mobilise the participation of zakat recipients in the fields of education and skills in an organised, guided and group-based manner, ultimately developing them into excellent students / skilled workers / professionals.
To monitor the implementation of assistance schemes, programmes and asnaf empowerment activities to ensure the effectiveness of zakat distribution is achieved.
