Opened Data

Open data refers to government data that can be shared and reused by the public, public sector agencies or the private sector for any purpose. Data available on the data.gov.my portal may also be used freely by any user of the portal, provided that it does not violate the terms and conditions stated in the data policy. It also serves as a driver in people-centric government initiatives. The implementation of open data can improve the quality and transparency of government service delivery through the sharing of accurate, fast and relevant data. In addition, it can also increase national productivity and the economy through new industries/innovations with the involvement of the public and the business community.

The use or reuse of data shall comply with the Government Open Data Terms of Use 1.0.
